Pink Bow Makeup Kit

Everybody knows the relationship between Girls and the color Pink! There is something about the color that elevates your mood. I still remember going shopping when I was a child and sticking on anything that was pink-dress,shoes,pencil box, notebooks and everything.

We all love everything PINK and it never ever misses my eye. That being said I present to you this cute little thing I bought some three or four years ago but never had the heart to use it because I just didn't feel like spoiling it. It is still lying securely packed waiting for the day someone will have the courage to actually put it to use.

It is made of quilted velvet and has one compartment. Ideal to carry daily makeup stuff. That satin bow is most adorable.

 Price: around  500-600

Life From the Diary of a Girl-4

I saw the I'm Offended videos on YouTube and suddenly it was all clear. Yes we are offended, We, us, all of us. There is no discrimination of gender, caste or religion here. We are all offended the same. We all have zero tolerance to things that are not even directed at us. Years and years of conditioning are to blame. We can't even take jokes and yet we laugh at comedy shows but when it comes to us, are we ready to take the same joke on ourselves? It is very easy to laugh at others but when it comes to us we step back. Everything that can be even remotely offensive is Banned in our country. Is this the nation of diverse cultures? Are we really secular?

All of us know the curse words and a majority of us uses them. But when someone uses them in a youtube video, we suddenly remember our cultural values.

Even a rickshaw-wala considers being called 'Uncle' by a young girl offensive, because clearly he is not that old but what about the young girls he objectifies?
We feel the worst when someone from abroad comments that India is so dirty and all like we are whole heartedly working for the cleanliness of our surroundings. I am ashamed to see the educated youth-the leaders of tomorrow, the students of our universities littering all around when the dust bin is just two steps away.
We are offended even when a guy in a crowded bus accidentally touches us when he has no intention of teasing. Why aren't we offended when someone tries to kill our dreams and views by saying 'It's for your own good'. Why are we afraid to take a stand when it comes to our hopes and dreams and our philosophy of life? Why can't we say NO there?

Life From the Diary of a Girl-3

I wanted perfection... in everything- perfect days, perfect birthdays, perfect valentine's, perfect day and night. Then I thought: Where does this need for perfection come from?

We are told fairy tales ever since we open our eyes in this world. No body tells us that the world is not a fairy tale. In our obsession for perfection we go on ignoring the things someone IS DOING for us and just concentrate solely and heartily on what is going wrong. Positivity is a rare virtue these days. We are so impatient to get to where we want, ignoring what we have and ending up being worse than ever. We don't want to be judged but we ourselves kill others with criticism.

People are not perfect, I am not perfect. We can't achieve perfection because perfection doesn't exist. Try finding fault with even a smallest thing and I am sure you'll come up with something. We can only make our lives touch perfection and that too by continuous efforts.

Also things are supposed to be perfect not relationships because people have their own views and we've gotta respect that. Nobody can live our idea of what life should be like. If you find something that you like in someone, there are bound to be things you don't like. Remember that person is also feeling the same about you. So laugh it up, drink it down and remember- You were born to be real, not perfect.

Life From the Diary of a Girl-2

When I see birds living in a cage trying to cut the metal wires so desperate to be free, I sometimes think
Are we girls like these birds?
Has the society got a point? Are we over protected for our own good?
Do we need it?

But then, we are not some tropical toy birds bred for entertaining humans, incapable of self dependence, in an alien land unaware of the dangers that lay outside the cage.
We are individuals, we are educated, we are not playthings, we know what is out there and how are we going to learn if we don't face anything? And why is the society so scared of what'll happen to us.
Is the society itself incapable of self control or afraid of taking responsibility?

Even if something bad happens to us, it is they who hesitate to accept us. So are we still answerable to the society?

It's time for us to shun the veil and take our responsibility in our own hands. If the culture doesn't protect us, we also don't have to protect it. We go out to study, to work so we can go out to party and for fun with our friends.

Keep those in your life who believe in you and don't care for those who put 'What will people say?' before your views. Love the ones who love you and go to every depth to keep those relationships. Treasure the ones who consider your problems like their own and are sad when you are. Just give up the What will people/family/society/friends say? Remember you had a reason when you did something no matter how lame it was. It was your decision: wrong or right. Accept it and move on. You are awesome and don't let someone else tell you otherwise.

Life From the Diary of a Girl-1

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." -Maria Robinson

We all have probably heard this quote a thousand times and some like me might have also saved it as a wallpaper or pinned it on pinterest. But how many of us actually go through with it???
In the modern times, everyone I mean everyone from a little kid to an old person has problems in one or the other sphere of life. We the "Youth" are the ones who suffer from so called tensions and dramas the most.  I feel that Girls are more prone to psychological upset than boys. This could be due to the fact that generally girls are more sensitive or they are overprotected and over-expected from especially in the Indian society. The source of our problems can be anything..believe me any smallest thing that even remotely has the potential of offending us can cause problem in our life. We have problems related to study, work, friends, family, relationships, nagging neighbours, that man who is the age of your father or even older trying to touch you in the bus, the thirsty eyes of men who don't even know you. What can we do? Do we need protection from our own family and people around us? Okay let's say that we do...Even then this is the society who cannot see a girl with a boy and accept that they may be friends or in a relationship and he is there for her because You are threatening her privacy. And we are talking about the age where homosexuality is accepted. I mean... Seriously?? Who should we choose to share our feelings then?? Who should we trust? WHERE ARE WE SAFE??

So many questions and no answer...

Easy and Fun Nail Art Tutorial

We all love nail art. But the pictures we see online or in magazines seem too tough to replicate on our own nails. Yeah! Welcome to the club. So I'll start with simple ideas to do on your nails so we can also join the nail art brigade. Plus these are a fresh change from single colored mani and so easy to replicate. You can also change the colors freely according to your mood or dress or occassion.

Multi-colored Nail Art Tutorial!

Step 1:Paint your nails with the base color of your choice. I used Colorbar 03 Rasmopolitan.

Step 2: Apply nail art tape diagonally or even regular tape will do (I used the regular transparent one).
It should cover the larger part of the nail exposing the smaller area you want to paint.

Step 3: Paint the exposed area with second color. I used Colorbar 02 Lemon Drop. Don't be afraid from the mess. I painted this one carelessly to give you an idea that no "expertise" is required here.

Step 4: After the color dries, peel off the tape. You'll be left with a diagonal pattern.

Step 5: Paint the third color opposite to the previous one. You can use the tape here also or if you are confident just go over with the nail brush. Just keep the base line straight, nothing else can be messed up.

Floral and Fun Artificial Nails

Everyone loves Nail Art but...it is never easy. Sometimes we are too lazy..sometimes we don't have the right colors and most of the time: It doesn't come out right!

The solution is Artificial Nails!! Although getting acrylic nails from a professional can be a tad costly but cheaper versions are available at makeup shops.

I found these bright and colorful nails at a local shop. They have cute strawberries and floral design (Isn't it cheerful like bright summer days). These are from some Chinese brand. They come with nail glue and are super easy to apply. It was a set of 12 nails to choose according to the size of your own nails.

How to apply artificial nails:

1. Remove your old nail polish.
2. Apply some hand cream.
3. Push back your cuticles using a cuticle stick.
4. Trim the nails according to your need.
5. Apply the glue and stick the nails one by one.
6. File the nails and finish with a top coat.
(Don't keep artificial nails for too long and make sure to indulge in a easy DIY home manicure after removing the nails)
